The colour palette of yellow and grey was kept from their previous branding, however we made the yellow richer to ensure stand out on printed items. We also looked to ensure the colours were consistent in both RGB and CMYK – screens and printed material. The font is Montserrat, which is also a web font, which helped to marry the printed collateral to the website.
The design of the website follows a distinctive modular layout. Uncluttered and easy to navigate, the site allows the client’s projects to take centre stage.
As with other architecture websites, the client’s projects were key to their marketing. They wanted to be able to manage the site in-house, adding new projects and news posts. Although the website is a bespoke, it is built in WordPress. WordPress is a Content Management System (CMS) that provides an easy-to-use interface where clients can add pages, text and images.
We developed a suite of icons to help users navigate the site., and again these icons were follow the simplicity of the logo.
We were also tasked with rebranding the company’s marketing collateral, including PowerPoint slides, documents, CVs and letterheads. An important part of the brief was to ensure these documents were easy to edit and designed in such a way that the layout would not be ‘corrupted’ over time and lose consistency. We used Adobe InDesign and set up paragraph styles and a bullet-proof layout that would work for all scenarios.
