The Lion

Restaurant website design was just part of a larger project to re-brand The Lion Bar & Restaurant. The brief: the new design must appeal to customers who want breakfast, a lunchtime snack, afternoon tea, an evening meal – oh, and of course, a drink! We repositioned the brand, giving it a much softer feel with bags of texture and warm colours. Positioning it as a friendly establishment where customers can enjoy quality food and drink, any time of the day.

The Restaurant Website Design

We built the website in WordPress, so that it could be easily edited by the landlord. It has blogging areas that can be updated with the latest news and events. It is a responsive website, which means it works on all screen sizes: mobile, tablet and desktop.

When designing the site, we felt that it was essential that the photography was spot on. So we arranged a day’s photography at the restaurant to take pictures of their delicious food. We also took shots of the bar interior to complete the story.

Menus, drip mats and more…

We applied the new branding throughout the restaurant, producing menus, drip mats, signs and banners.

With a new consistent look in place, the restaurant had a successful launch and we were asked to rebrand The Lion’s sister pub, The Griffin. This project included a new pub website and marketing material.
